1. Service Agreement

By engaging Computer Geeks Australia for IT support or computer repair services, you agree to these terms and conditions. These terms govern all services provided, whether on-site, remote, or in-shop.

2. Services Provided

We provide professional IT support and computer repair services including but not limited to:

  • Computer and laptop repairs
  • Network setup and maintenance
  • Data backup and recovery
  • Virus and malware removal
  • Business IT support

All services are performed by qualified technicians to industry standards. Specific service details and pricing are provided in quotes or service agreements.

3. Pricing and Payment

  • All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST
  • Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated
  • Payment is due upon completion of service unless credit terms are arranged
  • We accept cash, credit cards, bank transfers, and PayPal
  • Late payments may incur interest charges

4. Warranties and Guarantees

We warrant that all services will be performed with reasonable care and skill. Parts and repairs are covered by manufacturer warranties where applicable. Our workmanship is guaranteed for 90 days from service completion.

We cannot guarantee specific outcomes for data recovery or repairs where the extent of damage is unknown until investigation. Any limitations will be communicated before proceeding with work.

5. Liability

While we take every precaution to protect your equipment and data, we cannot accept liability for:

  • Data loss (clients should maintain backups)
  • Pre-existing hardware or software issues
  • Damage caused by manufacturer defects
  • Incompatibility issues with third-party software or hardware

Our maximum liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question.

6. Data and Confidentiality

We treat all client data with strict confidentiality. Technicians may need to access your files to diagnose and repair issues. We recommend backing up important data before service. We are not responsible for software licenses or product keys unless specifically agreed in writing.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

  • On-site appointments can be rescheduled with 24 hours notice
  • Late cancellations may incur a callout fee
  • Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis
  • No refunds for completed services unless a warranty claim is accepted

8. Limitation of Service

We reserve the right to refuse service if:

  • Equipment contains illegal or offensive material
  • Repair is deemed unsafe or impractical
  • Client has outstanding unpaid invoices

9. Amendments

We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. Amendments will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of amended terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of South Australian courts.
